About Me

First and foremost, I would like to introduce myself- my name is Michael Jenkins, and I am a Professional Computer Technician. I have over eight years of experience within the Information Technology field, and look forward to putting my experience to work for you, the potential customer.

I started my career within this industry as most technicians, starting school, landing a position at a help desk, and started gaining knowledge from there. School can only teach you so much- in this industry, you have to be quick on your feet, and stay up-to-date with technology, which is not as easy as it seems.

While attending college, I started my own business venture within this industry. My first companies name was Adequate Information Technology Solutions. When I created the name I didn’t really think of the marketing aspect of the name- and found out quickly enough, that it is difficult to market a name with the term adequate within it.

So I changed it to Computer Essentials. This name was great- it signifies everything I do- I provide the essential services your computer and computer-related equipment need in order to function properly. It wasn’t until I decided to create a FaceBook page with my business name that I ran into a problem. There is already another company in another state using that name. Even though the company is in another state, and legally I could use the name, I decided to change it- because I don’t want to be identified with another company at all for poor service, etc. I’m not saying that company provides poor service; I’m simply indicating that I don’t want to be associated in no way with another company- for liability reasons.

So I came up with the name Middle TN Computer Repair- which is good- it not only signifies my target customer base, it also indicates what I specialize in- which is computer repair. I’m currently in the process of getting a logo designed for my Website and business cards. For the time being- I am passing out business cards with Computer Essentials on them. It’s the same person- just an old name.
